Groundworks associated with the construction of a single dwelling-house at Lissavarra, Ballingarry, were monitored in August 2000. The development was adjacent to the site of a large enclosure that was levelled around twenty years ago. The removal of topsoil revealed the surface of the light brown clay subsoil. Nothing of an archaeological nature was noted in either the topsoil or the underlying substratum.
