A proposed private development, consisting of house, septic tank and driveway, together with a boarding-kennel block, situated within a complex of archaeological sites, was tested in late January 2000. No features or deposits of an archaeological nature were noted. The north-east part of the field is on a gas pipeline, which had been monitored some years previously (M. Gowen, Three Irish gas pipelines, Dublin, 1988).
