Realignment of the N24 between Carrick-on-Suir and Piltown in May 2000 impinged upon a possible fulacht fiadh. Detailed topographical survey and test-trenching within the confines of the development failed to locate any finds/features of archaeological significance, later confirmed by licensed monitoring of construction in the area.
