An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at a proposed development site located to the rear of The Old House, Kill, Co. Kildare, on 17 July 2000. The work was undertaken in compliance with a condition included in a grant of planning in respect of the development of the site, which is located within the boundaries of the urban area of archaeological potential for Kill.
Four trenches were mechanically excavated. No features, structures or finds of archaeological interest were uncovered. Accordingly, it was suggested that no further archaeological involvement was required at the site.
