Two test-trenches were opened in advance of development at Ballydribbeen, Killarney, in August 2000. The cuttings were placed across the area of a possible levelled enclosure. Nothing of archaeological significance was exposed, and no evidence for the site was found. Garden features of the 19th and 20th centuries were recorded, associated with nearby St Finian’s Hospital.
