Further test excavation was carried out on this site after the remaining buildings were demolished (Excavations 1999, 93–4). Despite the fact that the buildings had no cellars, there were no archaeological deposits under the foundations. The buildings themselves were possibly 18th-century in date and had corner fireplaces. They were unusual insofar as they were two storeys in height with a single bay fronting onto the street. The site is to become a mixed residential and commercial development.
