This small site was identified in the course of monitoring of topsoil-stripping prior to the construction of Phase 1 of the Airport–Balbriggan bypass (see Excavations 2000, No. 323). The site was identified as a small, oval area that contained charcoal-enriched soil and a small area of burnt topsoil to the east. It was 0.7m long, 0.62m wide and 0.05m deep. The charcoal-enriched soil lay directly on top of the subsoil. The site was probably a small pit that had been ploughed through. It is considered to be of no archaeological significance.
