Testing was carried out in advance of constructing a customer services building extension to the EMC factory at Ovens, Co. Cork. The area of the proposed development site is currently in use as a carpark and had been levelled to facilitate this use. Four test-trenches were excavated on the footprint of the proposed building. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted in the trenches.
