Part of the N20 near Buttevant, Co. Cork, was scheduled for realignment by Cork County Council. The site of the realignment was within the zone of archaeological constraint around the ruins of Ballybeg Abbey. Topsoil removal and groundworks were monitored over five days between 14 September and 10 October 2000. No archaeological features were observed during this work.
