An archaeological investigation was carried out here in January 2000. The site lay on the route of the N18/N19 Road Improvement Scheme. It had been identified during field-walking as two possible rectangular platforms cut into the slope of a low hill. Three trenches were dug, and it was found that the feature was a reflection of natural irregularities in the bedrock. Two clay pipe fragments were found.
