The development of additional holiday homes at the site required that archaeological testing be carried out. This was undertaken by Clare Mullins (Excavations 1998, 221), who recommended the monitoring of foundation excavations. This was carried out by the writer in December 1998 (Excavations 1998, 221) and January 1999. One additional feature was identified during the latter period of monitoring. This was the remains of a 19th-century wall foundation, associated with the return of an extant wall that forms part of the southern boundary of the site. This feature had previously been identified during initial testing. No further features or finds of interest were revealed.
