The development of a site at Mill Lane, Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, required archaeological testing. The site is within the zone of archaeological potential for Carrick-on-Suir and is adjacent to the site of the medieval Franciscan friary.

Five trenches were dug. Two cut features and a cobbled surface were found. These all produced 19th-century pottery. A single sherd of possible 18th-century pottery was also found.
