Monitoring was carried out during the final phase of the garden landscaping of Innishfree House, just south of the recorded limit for the Carrowmore megalithic complex. The entire garden, which was tilled, was field-walked in search of archaeological finds or features. Nothing of archaeological signifance was recorded.

An area planned for a tennis court was soil-stripped, but nothing of archaeological significance was recorded.

At a newly constructed pond, an area of c. 100m2 was levelled to a depth of c. 0.25m below the present topsoil. Two patches of black soil with soot and a few fire-cracked stones were discovered in this area. The patches measured c. 1m x 1m and had a depth of c. 0.3m. In the upper part of one of the features a flake of chert with signs of wear and retouching was found.
