This site is to the west of the Drum Church (SMR 51:65). Drum Heritage Ltd is extending the old national school (now the community centre) to house a visitor centre. The school had been built across the line of an enlcosure (SMR 51:06503), and thus the proposed extension is within the confines of the site.
A single trench was cut along the length of the proposed extension, 11m, and to a maximum depth of 0.8m. The only feature apparent was the line of a destroyed field fence, which was visible on the Ordnance Survey map.
