Monitoring of the site clearance for construction of a peat-fired electricity-generating station took place from late January until the end of April 1999. During monitoring, two unstructured burnt spreads were identified and excavated. No dating materials were recovered, and it is unlikely that either was archaeologically important. A chert hollowed arrowhead was found c. 30m south of the bank of the River Frigile; however, it was found in isolation from other identifiable deposits or materials.
