Testing was carried out on a site of proposed development at the Diamond Centre, Monaghan, on 22–9 March 1999 on behalf of the North-Eastern Health Board.
One test-trench was mechanically excavated. It was c. 30m long on a north-south axis x 1.2m. A series of 19th-century walls was uncovered in the southernmost area of the test-trench. A large quantity of red brick fragments, modern pottery, plastic and metal pieces was also uncovered.
