The excavation was exceedingly limited in area and consisted mainly of tidying up part of the north-west of the site. This work centered on the area of the 'curved trench' (Eogan 1984, 323–4). It appears that this trench surrounds a circular area c. 25m in diameter. In the area exposed, this averages 0.8m wide and 0.2m deep. No associated finds came to light.
