Archaeological monitoring was required for excavations of a private house development. The site lies c. 600m from the known monuments on Tara Hill.

The topsoil was stripped off 25m2 where the house was to be built, to a depth of 0.35–0.45m, and off a 4m-wide driveway to a depth of 0.7m. It was a dark brown, sandy silt with less than 20% stones up to 0.1m across and contained nothing of archaeological significance. The foundation trench, 1m wide and up to 0.7m deep, was excavated into the subsoil. The subsoil was red/brown boulder clay and was archaeologically sterile.
