Before proposed road-widening and the installation of a carpark at Bective Abbey, Co. Meath, four areas were investigated in the field to the south-west of the abbey, close to the road. Four trenches, 10m x 3m, had their sod and overburden removed, but no archaeological deposits nor any material that would indicate human activity here were recovered.
