Pre-development testing was undertaken on the site of a proposed development in Mayo Parks townland, Mayo Abbey, Co. Mayo, in February 1999. The proposed development site is within the archaeological constraints for SMR 90:100, ecclesiastical remains.
Three test-trenches, between 20m and 28m long and 2m wide, were excavated by machine on the site of the proposed development. No archaeological features or finds were recovered from any of the trenches.
