Monitoring of pipe-laying in Barrack Street, Ballyhaunis, was undertaken over two weeks in September–October 1999. This street was added to the Ballyhaunis Sewerage Scheme, where Martin Byrne was previously licensed (Excavations 1998, 154–5, 98E0032). A 200m stretch of pipe-laying in the street was monitored. The pipe-trench was c. 1.5m wide.
No archaeological features or small finds were recovered from the pipe-laying.
