An assessment of a proposed residential development at Sheetland Road, Termonfeckin, was carried out in February 1999. The site is to the west of the bawn of the medieval Archbishop's Palace on the north side of Sheetland Road. The proposed development involves the construction of 36 houses, and thirteen trenches were excavated across the site.

No archaeological features or objects were recovered in any of the trenches, and it would appear that this area was outside the medieval settlement. It was concluded that the proposed development would not have any archaeological impact.
