An assessment of a proposed residential dwelling was carried out at 2–3 Oulster Lane, Drogheda. The site is to the east of and outside the medieval town, possibly within the suspected eastern suburbs and west of the medieval church of St Laurence The Martyr.
Two trenches were excavated but did not reveal any evidence of archaeological stratigraphy. The subsoil is very close to the surface along the western section of the site, and it would appear that ground level was made up at the eastern end through the introduction of c. 1m of topsoil. There will be no archaeological impact at this site.
