An assessment of a proposed residential development at Nuns Walk, Collon, Co. Louth, was carried out in January 1999. The proposed development involves the construction of 21 houses, and four trenches were excavated in the area of the development. No archaeological deposits or features were found, and it is likely that the medieval borough of Collon was not in this area. It was probably situated south-west of the site, near the remains of a medieval church. The proposed development will not have any archaeological impact.
