This site was identified as a circular depression with a low, interior mound during field-walking by Aegis along the route of the Limerick Southern Ring Road. Three trenches were dug by hand to ascertain whether the site was of archaeological significance. Trenches A and B measured 8m by 1m, while Trench C was 2m by 1m. The trenching proved that that site was not of archaeological significance.
