The site for proposed development is within the zone of archaeological importance established for Thomastown; consequently, monitoring of all construction work was requested as a planning condition. Proposed works consisted of the erection of a roofed area to an existing yard. Nine foundation pits were dug at the periphery of the site. There was no indication of archaeologically significant material.
