Monitoring of topsoil-stripping associated with the construction of a dwelling was undertaken on 12 June 1999. The work was carried out in compliance with a condition included in the grant of planning. The site is within the boundaries of a large enclosure (KD20:1) that encompasses the base of Killhill. Also on Killhill is a smaller enclosure site (KD20:2).
Monitoring involved the supervision of the topsoil-stripping/levels' reduction associated with the house and associated yard, driveway, septic tank and percolation area.
No features or finds of archaeological interest were uncovered during the work.
