An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at a proposed development site at Bothairín na gCorp, Kildare, on 17 April 1999. The work was carried out in compliance with a request from Dúchas as a portion of the site is within the designated zone of archaeological potential associated with Kildare town, being in the north-western quadrant of the town.
The mechanical excavation of eleven trenches took place. The trenches were set out in a gridded fashion. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were uncovered, and two shreds of medieval pottery were recovered from the topsoil horizon.
