Site 27 was 350m to north of the 'cists'. Part of a bank that ran west-south-west to a nearby ringbarrow was excavated. Composed of a mixture of brown clay and yellow daub, it contained amounts of waste chert. Traces of an ill-defined fosse 1–1.2m wide and at most 0.3m deep could be made out on either side of the bank. Only 7m length of the bank was excavated.
Within 2m of the bank to south a chert, barbed and tanged arrowhead was found, while from this area two thumbnail scrapers were also found.
