Test-trenching was undertaken on the site following a geophysical survey before development. Five anomalies, which possibly represented archaeological features, were highlighted during the geophysical survey. A test-trench was opened in each of the areas of these anomalies. A small spread of charcoal-rich soil was found in one of the trenches; however, a sherd of modern pottery was found in situ within this feature.
The site was of no archaeological significance.
