Archaeological testing was carried out in July 1998 in compliance with planning conditions for the proposed development of a house. Several sites with standing remains surround the development area, the closest of which is a megalithic tomb. The assessment was intended to identify subsurface remains associated with these sites.
Any activities associated with known sites had been obliterated by a cultivation system, which has subsequently been levelled by recent ploughing.
