An area measuring c. 12m east-west x 9m was excavated in the north-east corner of this site, where the remains of twenty articulated inhumations were identified. These were part of a medieval burial horizon that was delimited to the west by the stone foundations of a medieval boundary wall c. 1.2m wide. Medieval pottery and line-impressed floor tiles were recovered from the clearance work-from later cellars where residual materials dating to the medieval phase had been dumped. The wall and cemetery have been provisionally identified as belonging to the medieval parish church of St Peter, as illustrated on John Speed's map of Dublin dating to 1610.
