Testing was undertaken at this site. The developers proposed to keep their ground disturbance to a minimum, and thus only a limited area was required to be tested, in the area of the proposed lift shaft.
Two cuttings were mechanically excavated to the underlying natural. It was clear that the site had been extensively disturbed by cellarage, and thus the proposed development was unlikely to have a major impact on any potential archaeological remains. No features of archaeologial significance were recovered.
