Two test-trenches were excavated on the site and revealed very similar deposits. Dark brown, humic, rich garden soil, containing a large amount of modern rubbish and tree roots, was found to directly overlie light yellow/brown clay subsoil. No archaeological features or finds were revealed on the site.
