The proposed addition of a front porch and rear extension to an existing dwelling at 'The Bungalow', Ards, Cabinteely, Co. Dublin, had been archaeologically tested in December 1998 (Excavations 1998, 35–6). The development was within the zone of archaeological potential of a recorded cemetery site. Some limited monitoring also took place under the porch area of the development on 22 May 1999. No features of archaeological significance were noted owing to extensive disturbance caused by the existing house services.
