Monitoring was carried out intermittently from April to July 1999 during the excavation of slit-trenches by Esat Telecom on South Main Street, Washington Street and Grand Parade in Cork City. The trenches were designed to be as shallow as possible in order to avoid archaeological deposits. No archaeological stratigraphy was uncovered.
