During renovations in the rear yard of The Tap Tavern, a public house in Church Square in the centre of the medieval town of Kinsale, Co. Cork, a portion of an ogee-headed window was found in a well. The medieval church of St Mulltose stands on a cliff behind the public house. The window fragment was removed, recorded and returned to the church, where there is a matching window fragment. The well was recorded, and a licence was granted to monitor pipe-laying in the area.

Two pipe-trenches were opened to a depth of 0.7m, and rubble fill was noted in them. No archaeological finds or features were noted in the trenches. The yard has now been paved, and the well is open.
