The development of townhouses within the historic town of Sixmilebridge necessitated an archaeological assessment. The village includes 18th-century industrial buildings fronting onto the main street and a late medieval bridge. The development site was itself used as a garden.
Test-trenching did not uncover any archaeological features or finds.
