Three parallel test-trenches were excavated on a proposed development site in the centre of Quin village. No stratified deposits were encountered. A linear feature cutting across two of the trenches is believed to be an old boundary ditch, which cut the present area in half. Further testing of the front part of the site, which is currently inaccessible, was recommended.
