This site is on the south-facing slope of a low hill, c. 2 miles outside Kilfenora, Co. Clare. A possible bivallate ringfort lies in an adjacent field to the north-west of the existing house. The proposed development involved the construction of an extension to the house and the excavation of a septic tank.
The area to be disturbed by the extension, septic tank and connecting pipes was stripped by machine down to the level of the subsoil. No archaeological materials or features were revealed.
