This site was uncovered during archaeological monitoring before development on the N18–N19 road scheme, Co. Clare. It consisted of five areas of activity. The main concentration of activity was during the medieval period. The archaeological evidence consisted in the main of a series of post-holes and pits from a habitation site. Remains of a light 'flooring' of small stones were excavated on part of the site. The floor overlay a small drainage channel. This area of the site was subsequently covered by midden material, of stone, clay and animal bone.
Finds from the site include bone cylinders, fragments of a decorated bone comb, sherds of medieval pottery, bronze pins, fragments of rotary querns and a fragment of a decorated bone mount(?), with rivet hole. A large amount of animal bone was recovered from the site, a selection of which shows evidence of butchering.
