Archaeological monitoring of topsoil-stripping was carried out as part of the N18/N19 (Ballycasey to Dromoland) Road Improvement Scheme on Area 17, Ballynacragga townland. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered. There was much evidence at the site of modern disturbance. Natural soils of silty clay were excavated and found to be mainly featureless.
