Archaeological monitoring was carried out on this site, in advance of the construction of a private dwelling, on 1–3 October 1998. The proposed dwelling was situated adjacent to the possible site of a monastery, known as Disirkeyvyn, founded by St Kevin of Glendalough. No features of archaeological significance were identified in the course of monitoring.
