In the course of monitoring of manual excavations at the site of a proposed development at 54 Pearse Street, Nenagh, no finds or features of archaeological interest were encountered.
The entire site was covered by concrete, and the underlying stratigraphy comprised mainly redeposited materials that appeared to date to the 19th century. Natural, undisturbed subsoil was reached at a depth of 0.45–0.5m below ground level.
