The site was c. 2 miles west of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, and just off the Ballycahill Road. It lay on a natural incline that the road crosses, allowing commanding views of the landscape to the east and south.
The site area measured c. 40m x 30m. Within this area up to 50–60 randomly placed posts/pits, a short linear feature (c. 10m long and 0.4m wide) and two hearths/fire spots were found. It was apparent that around ten to twelve of the post-holes formed a subrectangular structure. Most of the site had outcrops of bedrock over the surface.
Finds consisted of worked flint and chert, a possible fragment of a chert arrowhead, an ovoid rubbing stone and charcoal. The ovoid rubbing stone was found on the surface of one of the hearths.
