Pre-development testing was undertaken on the site of a proposed development in Grange, Co. Sligo, in October 1998. The proposed development site lies within the designated area of a castle.
Three test-trenches were excavated by machine within the proposed development site. No archaeological features or small finds were recovered from any of these.
