Archaeological monitoring of groundworks for the construction of a private house and driveway was carried out on 18–19 November 1998 in compliance with a condition within the grant of planning. The development site was a green-field site on the lower south-eastern slope of Croghan Hill, an area of immense archaeological significance.
No features of archaeological significance were identified during the course of this work.
