Set stone and large split timbers were uncovered during topsoil removal on the Knock/Claremorris Bypass. They were found a short distance north-east of a fulacht fiadh (No. 482 Excavations 1998) and were investigated under the same licence. Once uncovered the set stones were seen to be a stone-built culvert. The accompanying timbers were thought to have originated from the building of the adjacent railway during the last century. A small flake of waste flint was found in the disturbed topsoil overlying these features.
