Archaeological assessment was carried out at a proposed residential site at Charlestown, Ardee, Co. Louth. The site lies close to the remains of a medieval church and the site of a barrow identified by ploughmarks. Four trenches were excavated along the foundations and bio-cycle of the site. The trenches were excavated to the natural, grey subsoil at 0.3m and 0.4m. No archaeological features or objects were recovered.
