Archaeological assessment was undertaken at Carrickedmond, Kilcurry, Dundalk, Co. Louth, at the site of a proposed residential development. The site lies within an archaeological complex that contains stone alignments, stone circles and a possible hut site. The entire area to be affected was stripped of its topsoil to determine the presence/absence of archaeological features.

Ploughsoil was identified at 0.2–0.4m, and boulder clay at 0.5–0.9m. No features of archaeological significance were identified.
